of <h1>Jammu and Kashmir Amends GST Notification to Include Housekeeping Services; Exceptions Apply Per Section 22(1) CGST Act.</h1> The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has amended Notification No. SRO-GST 17 dated 8th July 2017, under the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from 22nd August 2017, the amendment introduces a new clause (iii) to the notification, specifying that services related to housekeeping, such as plumbing and carpentering, are included, except when the service provider is required to register under section 22(1) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act. This amendment follows the recommendations of the Council and is authorized by the Finance Department.
