of <h1>Manipur Amends GST Notification: Includes Govt Rent Services, Defines Insurance Agent; Effective January 25, 2018.</h1> The Government of Manipur has amended Notification No. 13/2017-State Tax (Rate), dated June 28, 2017, under the Manipur Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment, effective from January 25, 2018, adds a new entry (5A) to the notification, specifying that services provided by the Central Government, State Government, Union territory, or local authority through renting immovable property to a registered person under the Act are included. Additionally, a new clause defines 'insurance agent' as per the Insurance Act, 1938. This amendment is issued by the Principal Secretary (Finance) of the Government of Manipur.
