of <h1>Himachal Pradesh appoints National Academy to conduct GST exams under Himachal Pradesh GST Act, 2017, effective from May 2018.</h1> The Government of Himachal Pradesh, through its Excise and Taxation Department, has designated the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, as the official body to conduct examinations related to the Himachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This decision is based on the authority granted by sub-section (3) of section 164 and section 48 of the Act, along with sub-rule (3) of rule 83 of the associated rules. The notification, identified as No. 24/2018-State Tax, is effective retroactively from May 28, 2018.
