of <h1>Ex-Servicemen Health Scheme Recognized for Tax Benefits u/s 80D of Income Tax Act from 2019-20 Onwards.</h1> The Central Government has issued a notification recognizing the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, for the purposes of clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961. This notification applies to the assessment year 2019-20 and subsequent years, allowing tax benefits related to this scheme. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Direct Taxes, on September 26, 2018, under notification number 55/2018.
