of <h1>Government Announces 9.35% Tax-Free REC Bonds Under Section 10(15)(iv)(h) of Income-tax Act for Registered Holders</h1> The Central Government has specified 9.35% tax-free REC Bonds under section 10(15)(iv)(h) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. These bonds, issued by the Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, New Delhi, bear distinctive numbers from 800001 to 800200, each valued at Rs. 50,00,000, totaling Rs. 100 crores. The tax exemption is applicable only if the bondholder registers their name and holding with the Corporation. This specification is detailed in Notification No. S.O.814(E) dated 26th September 1995.
