of <h1>India Amends Customs Duty: 10% on Most Goods Under Tariff Heading 8518, Excluding Speakers and Mobile Phone Parts.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 69/2018, amending Notification No. 57/2017-Customs, to modify the customs duty rate under Tariff heading 8518. Effective from September 27, 2018, the amendment specifies that all goods under this heading, except speakers and certain parts of cellular mobile phones (microphone, wired headset, and receiver), will attract a 10% customs duty. This amendment is made under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
