of <h1>Punjab Amends 2017 Excise Notification Adding Effective Date for GST Exemption Under PGST Act.</h1> The Government of Punjab has amended a previous notification from the Department of Excise and Taxation, originally issued on November 14, 2017. This amendment, effective from July 12, 2018, modifies the original notification by inserting the words 'on and with effect from the 23rd October, 2017' after the phrase 'pleased to exempt.' This change is made under the authority of the Punjab Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment is authorized by the Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner (Taxation) to the Government of Punjab.
