of <h1>Himachal Pradesh Amends GST Notification: New Exemptions for Sal Leaves, De-oiled Rice Bran, and More Effective July 2018.</h1> The Government of Himachal Pradesh, under the Himachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. 2/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated June 30, 2017. The amendments include the addition of items such as sal leaves, sisal leaves, sabai grass, and vegetable materials for broomstick manufacture. De-oiled rice bran is exempted under heading 2306 from January 25, 2018. Other additions include goods made of sal leaves, deities made of stone, rupee notes, coir pith compost, sanitary towels, and rakhi. These changes are effective from July 27, 2018.
