of <h1>Gujarat Amends GST Notification No. 2/2017: New Tax Exemptions for Leaves, Grass, Sanitary Products, and More.</h1> The Government of Gujarat has amended Notification No. 2/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from July 27, 2018, the amendments include the addition of new items and exemptions in the tax schedule. These include sal leaves, siali leaves, sisal leaves, sabai grass, vegetable materials for broom manufacture, de-oiled rice bran, deities made of stone, marble, or wood, goods made of certain leaves and grass, rupee notes or coins for sale to the Reserve Bank or Government of India, coir pith compost, sanitary products, and non-precious rakhi.
