of <h1>Assam Govt Waives Late Fee for July 2017 GSTR-3B Returns; Section 47 of GST Act Invoked.</h1> The Government of Assam, under the authority of the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has waived the late fee for registered individuals who did not submit their FORM GSTR-3B return for July 2017 by the deadline. This decision, made on October 24, 2017, follows the recommendation of the Goods and Services Tax Council. The waiver applies to the late fee stipulated under section 47 of the Act. The notification was issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department.
