of <h1>Assam Government Updates GST Notification to Include Corduroy Fabrics u/s FTX.56/2017/18.</h1> The Government of Assam, through the Finance (Taxation) Department, has amended Notification No. FTX.56/2017/18 dated 29th June 2017, under the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment, effective from 22nd September 2017, adds a new entry, '6A 5801 Corduroy fabrics,' to the existing table in the notification. This change is made under the powers conferred by the relevant section of the Act, following recommendations from the Council, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
