of <h1>Assam GST Act Amends Goods Classification: Textile Handlooms, Handmade Shawls, and New Entries Effective Retroactively.</h1> The Government of Assam, under the authority of the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has issued amendments to a previous notification dated 17th October 2017. The amendments involve changes to the classification of certain goods under the Assam SGST. Specifically, serial number 9 now includes textile handloom products and handmade shawls, stoles, and scarves. Additionally, new entries numbered 29 to 33 have been added, covering chain stitch, crewel, namda, gabba, wicker willow products, toran, and articles made of shola, applicable to any chapter. These amendments are effective retroactively from 13th October 2017.
