of <h1>Tamil Nadu exempts e-way bill requirement for intra-state goods under Rs. 1 lakh and specified items. Effective June 2, 2018.</h1> The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a notification exempting the requirement of generating an e-way bill for certain intra-state movements of goods under the Tamil Nadu Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. This exemption applies to consignments valued at or below one lakh rupees and specific goods listed in an annexure, regardless of their value. The list includes agricultural implements, aids for differently-abled persons, various agricultural and handicraft products, and other specified items. This notification takes effect from June 2, 2018, and aims to simplify the transportation of goods within Tamil Nadu.
