of <h1>India Revises Import Duty Rates: 15% on Artemia, 60% on Chickpeas, 30% on Lentils; Exemptions for US Goods.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 49/2018-Customs to amend Notification No. 50/2017-Customs, prescribing effective duty rates on specified goods. New duty rates include 15% on Artemia from the USA, 60% on Bengal Gram and Chickpeas, and 30% on Lentils. Other goods have specific rates or percentages, such as Rs. 35/kg on certain goods and 100% on others. The notification introduces exemptions for goods originating in the USA for certain entries. These amendments take effect from August 4, 2018, unless otherwise stated, and are published in the Official Gazette.
