of <h1>West Bengal GST Act: National Academy Authorized to Conduct Exams for GST Practitioners u/s 48, Rule 83(3).</h1> The Commissioner of State Tax, West Bengal, has issued a notification under section 48 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and rule 83(3) of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. The notification designates the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, as the authorized body to conduct examinations for GST Practitioners. This decision follows recommendations from the Council and is formalized in Notification No. 10/2018-C.T./GST, dated May 28, 2018.
