of <h1>Indian Railways Finance Corporation to Issue 7-Year, 10% Tax-Free Bonds Worth Rs. 85,708.5 Crores Under Section 10(15)(iv)(h)</h1> The Central Government has specified the issuance of VIIIth Series 7-year, 10 percent tax-free Secured Non-Convertible Bonds by the Indian Railways Finance Corporation Limited, amounting to Rs. 85,708.5 crores. These bonds, identified by distinctive numbers from 00000001 to 00857085, are issued under section 10(15)(iv)(h) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The tax-free benefit is available only if bondholders register their names and holdings with the Corporation. This notification is issued under Notification No. S.O.484(E) dated 23-6-1994, with reference number 9561/F. No. 178/74/92-ITA-I.
