of <h1>Uttarakhand extends 2016-17 VAT return deadline to June 30, 2018, with no late fees.</h1> The Government of Uttarakhand has extended the deadline for filing the annual return for the tax assessment year 2016-17 under the Uttarakhand VAT Rules, 2005. Taxpayers can now submit their returns by June 30, 2018, without incurring any late fees. After this date, late fees will apply according to the relevant provisions of the Act and Rules. This decision is made in the public interest, exercising powers under specific sections of the Uttarakhand Value Added Tax Act, 2005, and the Uttar Pradesh General Clauses Act, 1904.
