of <h1>Tamil Nadu amends GST notification, exempts casual interstate suppliers of specific handicrafts from registration.</h1> The Government of Tamil Nadu, through the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, has amended Notification No.II(2)/CTR/783(c-2)/2017, dated 15th September 2017. This amendment, issued under the Tamil Nadu Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, exempts casual taxable persons making inter-state taxable supplies of certain handicraft goods from obtaining registration. The amendment modifies the original notification by replacing and adding specific items in the exemption list, including textile handloom products, handmade shawls, stoles, scarves, chain stitch items, crewel, namda, gabba, wicker willow products, toran, and articles made of shola.
