This extension is in accordance with the Supreme Court's interim order in the Aadhaar-related case, W.P. (Civil) 494/2012, which postponed the requirement to link Aadhaar with existing bank accounts until the final judgment is delivered. The new submission date will be announced after the court's decision. This extension is pursuant to specific clauses of the Prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2005.
