of <h1>Konkan Railway's Tax-Free Bonds at 10.5% Interest Rate Specified under Section 10(15)(iv)(h) of Income-tax Act</h1> The Central Government has specified tax-free bonds with an interest rate of 10.5% (Series 2-A, Serial Numbers 1 to 40,00,000) amounting to Rupees 400 crores, issued by Konkan Railway Corporation Limited under section 10(15)(iv)(h) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. These bonds are designated for tax exemption purposes. However, to qualify for the tax benefit, bondholders must register their names and holdings with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited. This specification is outlined in Notification No. S.O.38(E), dated January 14, 1994.
