of <h1>Arunachal Pradesh exempts State's profit petroleum from State tax on petroleum exploration services under 2017 GST Act.</h1> The Government of Arunachal Pradesh, through Notification No. 05/2018-State Tax (Rate) dated January 25, 2018, has exempted the State Government's share of profit petroleum from State tax. This exemption applies to the intra-State supply of services involving the grant of licenses or leases for exploring or mining petroleum crude or natural gas. The exemption is based on the recommendations of the Council and is deemed necessary in the public interest, as per the provisions of the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
