of <h1>Customs Notification 17/2018: New Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Metals, and More Effective Immediately.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has issued Notification No. 17/2018-CUSTOMS (N.T.) on February 28, 2018, amending the existing tariff values for various goods under the Customs Act, 1962. This notification replaces previous tables with new tariff values for items including edible oils, brass scrap, poppy seeds, areca nuts, gold, and silver. For instance, crude palm oil is set at $687 per metric tonne, brass scrap at $3854 per metric tonne, and gold at $427 per 10 grams. These changes are effective immediately as per the notification details.
