of <h1>Puducherry Amends GST Rules: New Entries for Duty Credit Scrips, Government Supplies, and Brand Name Affidavits.</h1> The Government of Puducherry has issued amendments to notification No. 2/2017-State tax (Rate) under the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. These amendments include the addition of new entries in the schedule for Duty Credit Scrips and the supply of goods by a government entity to various government bodies against grants. It also defines 'Government Entity' as an authority or body with significant government participation. Additionally, a provision is added regarding the filing of an affidavit by a person with an actionable claim on a brand name when another person undertakes the packing of goods. These changes are effective from October 13, 2017.
