of <h1>Puducherry Amends GST Rules to Exempt Transit Cargo Services to Nepal and Bhutan, Effective Retroactively from 2017.</h1> The Government of Puducherry has amended its Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations to exempt the supply of services related to transit cargo to the landlocked countries of Nepal and Bhutan from GST. This decision, enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry, follows recommendations from the GST Council and is aimed at serving the public interest. The amendment, detailed in the notification G.O. Ms. No. 30/2017, modifies a previous notification from June 2017 and is effective retroactively from September 29, 2017.
