of <h1>Puducherry Amends GST Notification to Restrict Refunds on Corduroy Fabrics, Effective September 22, 2017, Under Serial No. 6A.</h1> The Government of Puducherry has issued a notification amending the earlier notification No. 5/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated 28th June 2017, in accordance with the GST Council's decisions. This amendment, effective from 22nd September 2017, restricts refunds on corduroy fabrics. The amendment is made under the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and involves the insertion of new entries in the notification table to include corduroy fabrics under Serial No. 6A with the code 5801. The notification is authorized by the Lieutenant-Governor and issued by the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government (Finance).
