This exemption applies to the state tax levied on the consideration paid to the Central Government, which is in the form of the Central Government's share of profit petroleum as defined in relevant contracts. This action, taken under the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, is deemed necessary in the public interest and follows recommendations from the Council.
