of <h1>Jammu and Kashmir GST Act Amended: Tax Rate Changes Effective January 1, 2018, Per Finance Department Order.</h1> The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, under the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended notification No. SRO-279 dated July 8, 2017. The amendments involve changes to the tax rates specified in the original notification. Clause (i) now substitutes 'one percent' with 'half percent,' and clause (iii) changes 'half percent of the turnover' to 'half percent of the turnover of taxable supplies of goods.' These amendments are effective from January 1, 2018, as per the order issued by the Finance Department.
