of <h1>Government Cancels Notifications for Latur SEZ, De-notifies Remaining 139 Hectares of Agro Processing Zone.</h1> The Central Government has rescinded Notification No. S.O. 39 (E) dated January 15, 2007, and S.O. 253 (E) dated February 3, 2010, concerning the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Agro Processing proposed by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in Latur, Maharashtra. Initially, 200 hectares were notified, with 61 hectares later de-notified, leaving 139 hectares. MIDC proposed to de-notify the entire 139 hectares, receiving no objection from the Maharashtra State Government and a recommendation from the SEEPZ Development Commissioner. The rescission applies except for actions taken prior to this decision.
