These courts are tasked with the expedited trial of offenses punishable by imprisonment of two years or more. The designated courts are the Additional District and Sessions Court-VII in Ernakulam for Kerala, the District and Sessions Court in Kavaratti for Lakshadweep, the District and Sessions Judge in Cuttack for Odisha, and the Additional District and Sessions Judge No.1 in Kamrup (M), Guwahati for Assam.
