of <h1>Central Govt amends Notification 11/2017 to clarify excise duty applicability for goods manufactured before Feb 1, 2018.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, has issued Notification No. 16/2018-Central Excise to amend Notification No. 11/2017-Central Excise. This amendment clarifies that changes made by Notification No. 9/2018-Central Excise will not apply to goods manufactured on or before February 1, 2018, but cleared on or after February 2, 2018. This clarification aims to address the applicability of previous amendments to ensure compliance and proper implementation of excise duties on specified goods.
