of <h1>India Rescinds E-way Bill Notification No. 74/2017; New Rules Under CGST Act Section 164 Now in Effect.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 11/2018 - Central Tax, dated February 2, 2018, under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This notification rescinds the previous Notification No. 74/2017 - Central Tax, dated December 29, 2017, regarding the implementation of e-way bill rules. The rescission applies except for actions already taken or omitted under the previous notification. The notification is issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, exercising powers under section 164 of the Act.
