of <h1>India exempts specific goods from Additional Duty of Excise under Finance Act 1999; later rescinded in April 2018.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, issued Notification No. 08/2018-Central Excise on February 2, 2018, to exempt certain goods from the Additional Duty of Excise (Road Cess) as per section 133 of the Finance Act, 1999. This exemption applies to goods specified in the Second Schedule of the Finance Act, provided they are manufactured after February 1, 2018. This notification was later rescinded by Notification No. 20/2018 on April 6, 2018.
