Karnataka extends deadline for non-resident taxable persons to file FORM GSTR-5 for July-Dec 2017 to Jan 31, 2018.

The Karnataka Department of Commercial Taxes has extended the deadline for non-resident taxable persons to file FORM GSTR-5 under the Karnataka Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This extension applies to returns for the months of July through December 2017. The new deadline for submission is January 31, 2018. This notification supersedes a previous notification dated November 15, 2017, except for actions taken or omitted before this supersession. The extension is authorized under the relevant sections and rules of the Karnataka GST Act and Rules.
