of <h1>Chhattisgarh Updates GST Classification for Textile Goods per GST Council's Recommendations; Effective November 15, 2017.</h1> The Government of Chhattisgarh, through its Commercial Tax Department, has amended Notification No. 5/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated June 28, 2017, to align with the GST Council's recommendations. This amendment, effective from November 15, 2017, involves changes in the classification of certain textile goods under the Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Specifically, entries related to knotted netting of twine, cordage or rope, made-up fishing nets, corduroy fabrics, and narrow woven fabrics have been updated. These changes are enacted under the powers conferred by the relevant provisions of the Act.
