Establishment of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board under section 188 of the Code appointed effective 1 October 2016. The Central Government, exercising powers under sub section (1) and sub section (3) of section 188 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, appoints 1 October 2016 as the date of establishment of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and specifies the Board's head office at New Delhi by official notification.
