of <h1>Karnataka Amends SGST Rules: Clarifies Scope of Legal Services by Advocates, Including Consultancy and Representation.</h1> The corrigendum issued by the Finance Secretariat of Karnataka amends Notification No. FD 48 CSL 2017 dated 29th June 2017. It revises the description of services provided by individual advocates, including senior advocates, in the Karnataka State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) regulations. The amendment clarifies that legal services include advice, consultancy, or assistance in any branch of law, as well as representational services before any court, tribunal, or authority, whether provided directly or indirectly. This change is ordered by the Governor of Karnataka and communicated by the Under Secretary to the Government, Finance Department.
