Central Government Delegates Explosives Act Powers to Joint Secretary for Licensing Appeals and Import/Export Decisions.
The Central Government has delegated its powers under Section 6-F of the Explosives Act, 1884, and rule 121 of the Explosives Rules, 2008, to the Joint Secretary in charge of the Explosives Division within the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. This delegation allows the Joint Secretary to handle appeals regarding licensing decisions made by the Chief Controller of Explosives.
