<h1>India Bans Explosives with Sulphur and Chlorates; Exceptions for Science, Toy Caps, and Railway Signals u/s 6.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of Section 6 of the Indian Explosives Act, 1884, has prohibited the manufacture, possession, and importation of explosives containing sulphur or sulphurate mixed with potassium chlorate or any other chlorate. This prohibition supersedes a previous notification dated April 1, 1966. Exceptions to this prohibition include small quantities for scientific purposes, manufacturing match heads, use in toy amorces (paper caps for toy pistols), and percussion caps for railway fog signals.
