of <h1>Government Rescinds Notification No. 58/99-Customs Under Customs Act, 1962 for Public Interest</h1> Notification No. 24/2000-Customs, issued on March 1, 2000, rescinds Notification No. 58/99-Customs dated May 11, 1999. Exercising powers under sub-section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, and sub-section 118 of the Finance Act, 1999, the Central Government has determined that this action is necessary in the public interest. The rescinded notification was originally published in the Official Gazette as G.S.R. 330(E) on May 11, 1999. The notification is issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, and signed by the Joint Secretary to the Government of India.
