The amendment adds a clause specifying that services like housekeeping, plumbing, and carpentry, provided through an electronic commerce operator, are exempt from registration requirements unless the service provider is liable for registration under Section 22(1) of the Act. This amendment follows recommendations from the Goods and Services Tax Council and modifies the original notification issued on 29th June 2017.
