of <h1>Nagaland Amends GST Rules: New Exemptions for FIFA U-17 World Cup Services and Fair Price Shops Announced.</h1> The Government of Nagaland has amended the notification dated 30th June 2017 regarding service exemptions under the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. New exemptions include services related to the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017, provided they are certified by the Director (Sports). Additionally, services by Fair Price Shops selling essential goods under the Public Distribution System to central and state governments are exempted. Amendments also update insurance scheme names and clarify that Limited Liability Partnerships are considered as firms under the Act. These changes aim to align with public interest and recommendations from the Council.
