of <h1>Gujarat Amends GST Notification: Housekeeping, Plumbing, Carpenter Services via E-Commerce Require Registration from August 2017.</h1> The Government of Gujarat, under the powers conferred by the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. 17/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated 30th June 2017. This amendment, effective from 22nd August 2017, introduces a new clause regarding services such as housekeeping, plumbing, and carpentering. These services, when provided through an electronic commerce operator, are subject to registration requirements unless the service provider is already liable for registration under section 22(1) of the Act. The amendment aligns with recommendations from the Council and is issued by the Finance Department of Gujarat.
