Effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, the amendment introduces a new sub-clause to rule 2, sub-rule (1), clause (fa). This addition designates the Directorate General of Goods and Service Tax Intelligence as an authority concerning the Gems and Jewellery Sector, enhancing oversight and record maintenance in this industry to combat money laundering.
