of <h1>West Bengal amends GST Rules to allow electronic verification code via net banking; retroactive from June 22, 2017.</h1> The Government of West Bengal's Finance Department issued an amendment to Notification No. 1071-F.T. dated June 21, 2017, concerning the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. The amendment modifies clause (ii) to include the use of an electronic verification code generated through net banking login on the common portal and an electronic verification code generated on the common portal. This amendment is retroactively effective from June 22, 2017. The notification was authorized by the Governor and signed by the Joint Secretary to the Government of West Bengal.
