of <h1>Tamil Nadu GST Notification: Territorial Jurisdiction and Enforcement Roles Remain Unchanged, Effective Retroactively from July 1, 2017.</h1> The Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in Tamil Nadu has issued a notification under the Tamil Nadu Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. It states that the territorial jurisdiction and enforcement responsibilities of various tax-related units and officers, as defined under the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act, 2006, will remain the same under the new GST framework. This includes Circles, Zones, CT Districts, Territorial Divisions, Large Taxpayers Unit, and various Enforcement and Business Intelligence units. The notification is effective retroactively from July 1, 2017.
