of <h1>Tripura Amends GST Notification: New 2.5% Tax on Specific Fertilizers; Removes 6% Tax Entries from Schedule II.</h1> The Government of Tripura, exercising its authority under the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. 01/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated 29th June 2017. Effective from July 1, 2017, the amendments include the insertion of new entries in Schedule I with a 2.5% tax rate for certain mineral or chemical fertilizers, specifically nitrogenous, phosphatic, potassic, and those containing nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Additionally, serial numbers 66, 67, 68, and 69 from Schedule II, which carried a 6% tax rate, have been removed.
