of <h1>Tripura Exempts Certain Intra-State Goods from State Tax Under GST Act, 2017, Following GST Council's Recommendations.</h1> The Government of Tripura, under the Finance Department (Taxes & Excise), issued Notification No. 02/2017-State Tax (Rate) on June 29, 2017. Utilizing the authority granted by section 11(1) of the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, the notification exempts certain intra-State supplies of goods from the state tax. These goods are specified in the appended Schedule, categorized by tariff item, sub-heading, heading, or Chapter. This exemption is granted in the public interest, following the recommendations of the GST Council, and pertains to the state tax imposed under section 9 of the Act.
