of <h1>NCLT Benches Empowered as Adjudicating Authority Under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Effective December 1, 2016.</h1> The Central Government has designated Benches of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to exercise the jurisdiction, powers, and authority of the Adjudicating Authority under Part II of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. This action is taken under the powers conferred by the Companies Act, 2013, and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The designated Benches, constituted as per a prior notification dated June 1, 2016, will begin their functions from December 1, 2016.
