of <h1>Maharashtra GST Act: Canteen Stores Department Can Claim 50% State Tax Refund on Inward Supplies of Goods.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra, under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has issued a notification allowing the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) to claim a refund of 50% of the applicable state tax on inward supplies of goods. This refund applies to goods received by the CSD for subsequent supply to Unit Run Canteens or authorized customers. This notification, identified as Notification No. 06/2017-State Tax (Rate), is effective from July 1, 2017.
