The Government of Assam, under the authority of the Governor, has issued a notification to bring specific sections of the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 into effect from June 22, 2017. This enforcement pertains to sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 139, 146, and 164 of the Act. The notification was issued by the Finance (Taxation) Department and communicated by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam.
